They are\nput directly into the cavity, and they harden.&nbsp;\nThey might not be ideal for larger fillings due to the fact that they\nare more subject to wear and tear with time, and they can be stained by tea,\ntobacco, and coffee, and they don&#8217;t last as long as others. <\/p>\n<\/div><!-- \/wp:paragraph-->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph--><div class=\"gridContainer\">\n<p>Finally, you\u2019ve got the porcelain fillings, and essentially\nthey are called inlays or onlays, and they\u2019re made in a lab, then bonded to a\ntooth. They can be matched t the tooth color, and also resists staining. Decay is usually\ndone in two ways if there is decay in the nerve, through the use of root canal\ntherapy, or pulp capping.&nbsp; Root canal\ntherapy is where the nerve damaged nerve is taken out, and the latter keeps the\nnerve alive.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<\/div><!-- \/wp:paragraph-->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph--><div class=\"gridContainer\">\n<p>Usually, the procedure is simple, where the decay is\nremoved, and then the affected area is cleaned, and then the cavity is then\nfilled and set.&nbsp; Usually, the dentist\nwill tell you if you have a cavity that must be filled, and the mirror that\nthey use will help to examine this.
